Ragi Cutlet Recipe.


Craving something lip-smacking with your evening tea? Whip up these super easy Ragi Cutlets that you can make with just a handful of ingredients. To make Ragi Cutlets, we have used just potato, onion and carrot, however, you can add as many veggies as you wish to make the cutlets healthier and tastier. Ragi Flour is rich in iron, protein and can also aid in weight loss. This reddish-brown colour flour can provide a deep colour to your food as well. You can either shallow fry them in minimal oil or air-fry the cutlets, as per your preference. Ragi Cutlets can give a healthy twist to those oily, fried cutlets that are quite unhealthy for your body. Who said healthy food can't be tasty? Make these Ragi Cutlets and see for yourelf.   • 1/4 cup ragi flour

  • 1 onion

  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste

  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder

  • salt as required

  • 4 tablespoon breadcrumbs

  • 2 boiled potato

  • 1 carrot

  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder

  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil

  • Step 1 Prepare the veggies Finely chop the onion and grate the carrot. Collect them in a bowl. Now peel the boiled potato and mash it roughly. Mix the mashed potato with the chopped veggies.

  • Step 2 Make cutlet mixture Now add ragi flour, salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and garlic paste. Mix well to prepare a thick mixture. Add 3-4 tbsp water and again mix well.

  • Step 3 Roll in breadcrumbs Place the breadcrumbs in a plate. Make small cutlets from the mixture and roll them in breadcrumbs. Ensure that the cutlets are properly coated.

  • Step 4 Shallow fry the cutlets Heat oil in a pan and place the cutlets in it. Shallow fry the cutlets until golden brown from all sides.

  • Step 5 Ready to be served Serve the cutlets with mint chutney or tomato ketchup.
